A very elegant, wired doorbell with real hanging pewter tubes. This chime plays the 8-note or 4-note Westminster chime for the front door and a single note for a second door. The cabinet of this chime features rich rosewood and an aged pewter medallion inlay. This is a lovely, elegant, beautiful-sounding chime.

"They don't make them like they used to," grandpa told me the other day.  He could not have been talking about doorbells and door chimes though.  After seeing the C3-PW wired doorbell by Craftmade, you just can't say that anymore.

This wired chime has a gorgeous rosewood cabinet with a medallion insert laid into the front face of the chime's cabinet.  The medallion is set on top of a lovely metallic plate painted in rustic gold and antique pewter colors.  Around the inlay-ed plate, there's a nice pewter color border that compliments the medallion and metallic plate.

Hanging from the bottom of the rosewood cabinet are three antique pewter tubes used the resonate an 8 or 4-note Westminster chime for the front door and a single note for 2 secondary doors.

Pleasant and loud

This doorbell sounds nice and it rings long enough and is loud enough to hear at the far end of the house. This chime replaced an existing doorbell.
The instruction for installation was good. Installation was straight-forward.
This chime requires continuous power after the button is pushed. The wiring from my old chime needed to be slightly modified to remove a wire-nut which tied the pushbutton to the power feed (3-wire method) and convert to a separate power feed and separate button circuit (4-wire).

This is a nice doorbell.

This is a nice doorbell. When I picked it up off the front porch after FEDEX dropped it off, I could not believe how heavy it was. It is really a nice doorbell.
