This video demonstrates how to change the melody on an LRA-DCRXS that is ALREADY programmed to an LRA transmitter. For example, suppose you have two wireless LRA-PBTX push buttons programmed to the LRA-DCRXS, one for the front door and one for the back door of your home. While programming, you mistakenly programmed the same melody to both zones on the receiver. While this is technically okay to do, this isn't the best practice because you won't be able to know when the receiver is trigged which door triggered it. Ideally, you want to program a different melody for each zone.
NOTE: when entering programming mode on the LRA-DCRXS, you will notice a red LED appear in the strobe light lens. This denotes the unit is in programming mode. There are three notices supplied by the red LED and they are listed below;
- Fast blinking LED. This means zone 1 is open.
- Slow blinking LED. This means zone 2 is open.
- Solid LED (no blinking). This means both zones are occupied.
Once you enter programming mode, (hold down the zone/program button -- the one with a solid dot next to it -- for approximately 3 seconds) scroll through the melodies by pushing the melody selector button. Once you find the melody you want, push the corresponding transmitter (push button). This will change the melody associated with that transmitter to the one you just selected.
