A great solution to extend the sound range of your existing wired doorbell, especially in areas you cannot run wire.  This easy-to-install DIY product allows your existing doorbell or door chime transformer to send a wireless signal to a plug-in receiver/speaker.

The RC3030D set includes a small transmitter that you wire into your existing doorbell chime.  The easy-to-follow instructions make this installation a snap.  Once you have it wired, you simply plug in the receiver and your system is up and running.  When the doorbell pushbutton is pressed, the wireless transmitter (the one you wired into the transformer) sends a wireless signal, up to 150ft., to the plug-in receiver/speaker.

This unit is similar to the LRA-EX1000S except this unit has a 1 1/2'' speaker and is smaller, and more compact.  Don't let the small speaker size fool you though, it delivers a crisp, quality sound.  The LRA-EX1000S has an improved product with a range of up to 1000 feet, more sound options, and an optional flashing strobe light mode.

The Receiver/Speaker that ships with the RC3030D set are the RC3733D which you can purchase as an additional add-on plug-in receiver/speaker.  You may also purchase the RC3253 add-on door chime receiver/speaker which has a larger, 2 1/4'' speaker.

Great Customer Service

I couldn't hear my doorbell on my patio and tried one of the extenders from the big box store. It didn't last! So I'm on the search for something better, I ran across 1800Doorbell and checked to see what was available. After some time I finally called because the item I thought I needed was out of stock. I talked to Ms ML and she was very helpful and explained they had an order but it was on a container ship and they were waiting. She took my name and email and she emailed me when they arrived.
After receiving my transmitter and receiver, I got it hooked up, no pairing the device (like the big box store), plugged and wired in, no problem, worked great.
I can't testify as to how the item may last, but Ms ML also told me that IF the receiver failed (because I did locate outside under a patio, unit not rated for outside use), that another receiver could be plugged in and work fine.

Couldn't have been easier to install, a ladder, small screw driver, two screws and plug in the chime where you want to hear it. I needed mine in the garage - the next day I hear the bell chime. PS, I got bad hearing and it did the job for me.
